Grade five and six students at Nambrok Denison Primary School recently had a crash course in democracy, taxes and government spending.

And who better to give the lesson than Federal Member for Gippsland Darren CHESTER?

The future of Heyfield was clearly not far from the thoughts of the young students, who had questions about the Australian Sustainable Hardwoods mill for their classroom guest.

Afterwards, Mr CHESTER met with members of the school’s leadership group, who Mr CHESTER encouraged to follow their dreams.

“You should be proud of who you are and where you come from,” Mr CHESTER told them.

“There will be tough times, but with hard work and determination, you can reach your goals.”

Note: the students in the photo called ‘DC with Leadership grp’ are (from left to right with backs to the camera), Nyah Wilson, Zoe O’Brien, James Edney, and Liam Matthews. Millie Lamb (middle) and Sophie Green (right) are sitting alongside Mr Chester. All are grade six students.
