The Federal Government is making a once-in-a-generation investment in landmark infrastructure in Gippsland.
That was the message this week for Gippsland business leaders who met The Nationals Member for Gippsland Darren Chester in Traralgon.
Mr Chester, who is also the Federal Infrastructure and Transport Minister, briefed Gippsland Regional Executives Forum members on major local projects, including the $530 million upgrade of the Gippsland railway line.

“Gippsland is going through a particularly tough time on a number of fronts right now,” Mr Chester said after the meeting.
“But I am relentlessly optimistic and believe we will come out of this stronger than before.
“This is a period of unprecedented Federal Government investment in Gippsland totalling more than $1 billion. As the Member for Gippsland and the responsible minister, I know this huge investment will bring enormous benefits to our region for many years to come.”
