The first stage of works on the Bullock Island master plan will progress rapidly throughout the year according to Member for Gippsland Darren Chester.

Mr Chester said almost $10 million would be spent on the island over a 12-month period as all levels of government combine with funding to replace the access bridge, upgrade jetties, install toilets and parking facilities and improve landscaping.

Bullock Island is popular with locals and visitors and part of the new facilities will include a new kiosk at LEFCOL.
