‘LOVE WHERE WE LIVE’  2020 GIPPSLAND CALENDAR COMPETITION

The Member for Gippsland is calling on amateur photographers across Gippsland to photograph their favorite parts of the region and help promote the unique attractions of our towns, farms and natural landscapes.

The 13 best entries will be included in Mr Chester’s annual #lovegippsland calendar. More than 20,000 copies of the calendar will be distributed free of charge to showcase the region.

The top three entries will receive accommodation prizes donated by Frog Gully Cottages Longford, Bridges on Argyle Traralgon and Captains Cove Paynesville.

“I’m completely biased but I believe we live in the best region of the greatest nation in the world and my annual calendar competition is a chance to celebrate all the wonderful things about Gippsland,” Mr Chester said.

“This year’s theme of ‘Love where we live’ is a chance for locals to share their favourite parts of the region with other Gippslanders and visitors to our community.

“Our region is blessed with many natural and man-made attractions to provide inspiration for entrants.

“The calendar is extremely popular each year because it helps to showcase some of our iconic locations and the natural views.

“The project helps to bring more visitors to Gippsland to support local business; and is also a timely reminder for locals about the amazing opportunities that exist right here in our backyard.”

Mr Chester urged Gippslanders to use the upcoming September school holiday break to explore Gippsland while capturing their favorite scenes to enter into the calendar competition. He encouraged photographers to upload their photos to social media using the hashtag #lovegippsland.

To enter the #lovegippsland calendar competition, upload your photo on the left with a minimum size of 2MB and a Maximum of 10MB.
