This year marks a momentous occasion for Morwell Neighbourhood House, with the local organisation proudly celebrating 40 years of service to the community.
Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester visited Morwell Neighbourhood House ahead of next month’s Kindness Matters Luncheon in honour of the House’s 40-year milestone.
Mr Chester said Gippsland’s Neighbourhood House network provides valuable support when people need it and incredible opportunities for communities to join together and be part of their town.
“Morwell Neighbourhood House is a pillar of support for families in Morwell, the heart and soul of the community and a place where a helping hand is extended to people from all walks of life,” he said.
“Tracie Lund and her dedicated team go above and beyond to support some of our most vulnerable people by providing educational support, skills training, volunteering opportunities, and programs that tackle food security, social isolation, and overall wellbeing.
“Morwell Neighbourhood House’s Kindness Matters Luncheon is a great opportunity to thank the House for the valuable work it does, which is appreciated by so many.”
Morwell Neighbourhood House’s Kindness Matters Luncheon will be hosted at the Morwell Bowling Club, 52 Hazelwood Road, commencing at 11:45am and concluding at 2:45pm.
