Woodside Beach Surf Life Saving Club members will be SunSmart as well as safe in the water, thanks to a donation by Federal MP Darren Chester.

Mr Chester has provided the club with broad-brimmed hats again this summer to support the junior lifesaving program.

“It’s great to see 75 young members participating in the Nippers program this year at Woodside,” Mr Chester said.

“The volunteers at the club do a great job teaching surf skills, first aid and beach safety. I’m happy to donate broad-brimmed hats with the club logo to promote Woodside and protect members from damaging UV rays.”

At the weekend, Mr Chester was pictured with (from left to right) Woodside Beach Nippers Mya McFarlane and Lilly-May Dillow and Woodside Surf Life Saving Club secretary and Nippers co-ordinator Brydie Hurrell.
