Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester has thanked the Singaporean Air Force for their support during the bushfire crisis in East Gippsland.
“I sincerely thank the Singaporean Air Force for their work during the bushfire crisis and now as we enter the recovery stage,” Mr Chester said.
“They have been instrumental in the delivery of fodder and supplies, transporting firefighters and providing assistance to our own Australian Defence Force.
“It is great to see in difficult times we can call on our international allies to help out and I know when the time comes we will return the favour.
“There has been a real international effort in the wake of the bushfires and as Gippslanders we are so grateful to not only the Singaporean Air Force, but all the international counterparts who have offered a hand.”
