Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester recently presented the student leaders with certificates at St Michael’s Primary School in Traralgon.
“I always enjoy visiting local schools and seeing what young Gippslanders are up to in their classrooms,” Mr Chester said.
“There are some great things happening at St Michael’s and I was impressed to see the students using AUSLAN when reciting the school prayer, singing the national anthem and even reciting a prayer in Italian.
“Congratulations to all teachers, staff and students for working together and creating such a welcoming and inclusive environment.”
