Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester has welcomed Latrobe City Council’s support for the much-needed works on the Flynn Community Hall.
Latrobe City Council has listed the hall as one of its five priorities for funding through the Federal Government’s Drought Communities Funding Program.
“One million dollars has been provided to drought-affected communities, such as Latrobe City to support the community as a whole and improve regional infrastructure,” Mr Chester said.
“The Flynn Community Hall is a focal point for the locals and they have been looking to upgrade the hall for a while.”
“I’ve inspected the hall myself and there’s clearly some work to be done. Gaining the council’s support is an important step closer to getting the job done.”
