With end of year VCE exams approaching, Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester is wishing all students completing their VCE the best of luck.

Mr Chester said final school exams could be a very daunting time for students and it is important students feel supported.

“Gippsland students should remember that these exams and the results they get won’t dictate the rest of their lives,” Mr Chester said.

“VCE is an important stepping stone to further study and life beyond school, and while I encourage students across Gippsland to study hard and do their best, it’s important to remember there are many options available to young people if things don’t go according to plan.”

Mr Chester reminded students to reach out if they are feeling overwhelmed and make the most of support services available to them.

“Remember to speak up and let your families and teachers know if you feel stressed or anxious about exams and the future,” Mr Chester.

“There are also resources made available by the government for students and their families, which I strongly encourage students to access.”

“Most importantly good luck to all students sitting their VCE exams.”
