Local MP Darren Chester (pictured) inspected the progress of the new amenities block at the Lakes Entrance Recreation Reserve.
Mr Chester said the new facilities were a part of a $400,000 project at the recreation reserve.
“The reserve is a gathering place for the community and the town’s major sporting venue and needs to have appropriate facilities to ensure it is fit-for-purpose,” Mr Chester said.
“Over the past few years local volunteers have worked with my office and state MP Tim Bull to secure government funding for new changerooms, improve netball courts and this new toilet and shower block.
“These upgrades are a testament to the dedication of local volunteers who ensure the recreation reserve can service the many needs of the community.”
