A performance incorporating the stories of those affected by asbestos-related disease and experiences will come to Sale during its Victorian tour.

The performance, titled DUST, will appear at Sale Memorial Hall on October 23 and 24, 2009, with support from the Asbestos Diseases Society of Victoria.

This will be its only Gippsland showing.

Brought to you by the artists behind the critically acclaimed ‘We Built this City’, DUST features Mick Thomas from Weddings, Parties Anything with a choir of 50 voices made up of local singers and performances.

The Nationals Member for Gippsland Darren Chester said the prestigious performance was restricted to three Victorian locations and congratulated the committee of Gippsland Regional Arts Sale for bringing the show to Sale.

“DUST is touring to Geelong, Shepparton and Sale,” Mr Chester said.

“It is always pleasing to see high quality performances on show in our local community and I congratulate the members of Gippsland Regional Arts Sale for their efforts to secure this performance at Sale.

“Too often here in Gippsland we miss out on opportunities to experience these types of events and I encourage the local community to rally behind this performance and make the most of the opportunity.”

DUST will appear at Sale Memorial Hall on Friday, October 23, at 8pm; and Saturday, October 24 at 2pm and 8pm.
