The latest stage of the multi-million upgrade of the Esplanade in Lakes Entrance will be finished before Christmas.
Local MP Darren Chester has paid tribute to the local workforce for cooperating with business owners and getting the job done with a minimum amount of disruption.
“The crews have gone out of their way to help businesses stay open as the road and footpath have been torn up and rebuilt,” Mr Chester said.
“The transformation of the Esplanade has been made possible by all three levels of government working together to achieve important pedestrian safety, road works and regional development outcomes.
“It’s part of a $50 million package of works I secured in 2016 that has delivered improvements along the Princes Highway from Bairnsdale to the New South Wales border.”
