More people are getting access to faster and more consistent internet, following upgrades to a number of Telstra exchanges across Gippsland.

The Nationals Member for Gippsland Darren Chester officially launched the latest round of ADSL internet upgrades in Paynesville today with Telstra Country Wide Area General Manager for Gippsland, Loretta Willaton.

Ms Willaton said she believed the network upgrades would bring a number of benefits to the local community.

“We’re aware that some of our customers across the region have had issues receiving a fast fixed broadband service, or had inconsistencies with their speed at home or at work.

“We’re committed to ensuring Gippsland residents have the best internet experience possible and this upgrade is a reflection of that. We’re confident that this infrastructure will help meet customers’ demand and expectations.”
