Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester visited the Giles Street extension this week and was pleased to see works progressing well.
Tambo Constructions is undertaking the project to link Bairnsdale’s industrial area to the East Gippsland Livestock Exchange.
A new three-span concrete bridge over Magee’s Gully is in place and contractors are now working on the approaches.
The Federal Government is providing $590,000 with East Gippsland Shire Council covering the remainder of funding.
