Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester was quick to roll up his sleeve and make a donation in response to calls by the Traralgon Australian Red Cross Blood Service to help with a shortfall ahead of the Easter and Anzac Day public holidays.
Mr Chester is a regular blood and plasma donor and said it took only a short amount of time to donate – but you could save multiple lives. Anyone from 16 to 70 years of age who weighs 50kg or more and is fit and healthy can give blood.
The Traralgon donor centre is at 20 Seymour Street Traralgon. There is also a Gippsland mobile donor centre.
Details of its location and operating times can be found at www.donateblood.com.au/blood-
