Glengarry Football Neball Club has received $10,000 from the #lovegippsland Stronger Communities Program to build a new deck and viewing area at Glengarry Recreation Reserve.
“The Recreation Reserve is the focal point for the Glengarry community, also used by the cricket club during the summer.”
Glengarry Football Netball Club President Danny Reid said work on the deck would begin in August.
“We are hoping the deck will be ready in time for the football and netball finals,” Mr Reid said.
“It will be one of the best places to watch the action from the oval.
“The clubrooms were in need of a facelift and this project has been good for boosting community spirit not just around the club, but also around town.”
