Gippsland Ex-Service Organisations (ESO) can now apply for Federal Government funding through the 2021 Building Excellence in Support and Training grants round.
Federal Member for Gippsland and Minister for Veterans’ Affairs Darren Chester encouraged local organisations to apply.
“Throughout Gippsland ESOs deliver essential services and support to veterans and their families, including leisure activities, transition support, claims assistance, rehabilitation and wellbeing programs and hosting commemorative events and activities,” Mr Chester said.
“These grants are designed to support this work and help them continue to provide vital advocacy services for current and former serving men and women.
“ESOs provide so much to the veteran community and the BEST grants ensure they can continue to support and offer these services.”
BEST grants can be used to cover salary costs of administrative assistants and advocates and the purchase of equipment required to deliver services.
Applications are now open and close April 14, 2021.
