Seven Latrobe Valley schools are in the running to win $5000 from Credit Union Australia’s (CUA) Community Care program and the community can help them win.
The Nationals Member for Gippsland Darren Chester said the CUA Community Care program was being run across 10 communities in Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia.
This year CUA chose the Latrobe Valley as one of the communities to launch the program.
Mr Chester said there was only two days left for the community to vote for one of the seven schools in the running – Flinders Christian Community College, Glengarry Primary School, Grey Street Primary School, Latrobe Special Development School, Tobruk Street Primary School, Traralgon College and Traralgon Stockdale Road Primary School.
“When it comes to providing education, every bit helps and the CUA Community Care program is one way local families can help their school get some extra money for equipment or activities,” Mr Chester said.
“I’m told that there has been a positive response to the program so far and I encourage Latrobe Valley residents to support our local schools and help them win $5000 towards a school or community initiative.”
