LONGFORD PRIMARY STUDENTS TALK GOVERNMENT
October 19, 2011
Longford Primary School Grade 5/6 students received an insight into the work of the Federal Government when The Nationals Member for Gippsland Darren Chester dropped in to speak to them this week.
The students are currently undertaking a unit on ‘government’ and requested that Mr Chester visit the school to discuss his role in the Australian Parliament.
Mr Chester said the students showed good knowledge of the different levels of government that exist in Australia and asked a wide range of questions about life as a Member of Parliament.
