Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester and Mallacoota Golf Club president Max Donovan at Saturday’s official opening of the redeveloped course.
Mr Chester had the honour of hitting the first ball on the course after helping to secure almost $2 million in funding following the Black Summer bushfires.
“The new facilities are a credit to the volunteers, designers, tradespeople and everyone who played a role in redeveloping the course into a links-style layout which provides a challenge for players of all levels,” Mr Chester said.
