Motorists and their passengers travelling along the Princes Highway between Traralgon and Rosedale can now break up their journey at a new rest stop at Flynn.

The Nationals Member for Gippsland Darren Chester said the new rest stop and toilet block had been built as part of the $260 million Princes Highway duplication project between Traralgon and Sale.

“The rest stop is on the northern side of the highway, which means it’s convenient for those who travelling east towards Rosedale to pull over and have a break,” Mr Chester said.

“The rest stop is just one element of the highway duplication project, which is designed to improve safety for local and visiting motorists, cut travel times and boost efficiency for freight.”

The Federal Government is providing $210 million and the Victorian Government $50 million to the project.
