Road safety upgrades at Swan Reach are almost complete.

Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester said new kerbing had been installed and improvements to the Duffy Street intersection opposite the general store had taken shape.

Upgrades to the Princes Highway at Swan Reach are part of a $50 million road safety upgrade east of Sale expected to be finished in 2021.

“I’ve worked hard to secure a record investment by the Federal Government in road safety across Gippsland,” Mr Chester said.

“We are building a better, safer Princes Highway for Gippslanders, local businesses and visitors to our region.”

Mr Chester also secured a total of $15 million in federal funding for road safety improvements to the Great Alpine Road, Monaro Highway and Hyland Highway.
