SIX WEEKS LEFT TO ENTER #LOVEGIPPSLAND CALENDAR COMPETITION

Aug 13, 2026 | Latest News

Gippslanders have six weeks left to submit their entries in Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester’s 2027 #lovegippsland calendar competition.

Now in its 15th year, the popular photography competition encourages locals to share their best images of the region and celebrate what makes Gippsland one of Australia’s most spectacular places to live, work and visit.

Mr Chester said this year’s theme, “My Gippsland”, invites photographers to showcase the region’s natural beauty, character and diversity.

“I love Gippsland, and this calendar showcases the very best our region has to offer,” Mr Chester said.

“Whether it’s our stunning coastline, rivers, lakes, mountains, rolling farmland, historic buildings, or wildlife that make Gippsland such a special place, I encourage everyone to get involved.

“Each year I am amazed by both the quality and quantity of entries, and I’m already seeing another incredible collection of photographs from right across Gippsland.”

Thirteen photographs will be selected for inclusion in the 2027 #lovegippsland calendar, including one image to feature on the front cover.

More than 30,000 free calendars will be distributed throughout Gippsland at the end of the year, showcasing local photography in homes, businesses and community organisations across the region.

The photographers behind the three best entries will each receive a hamper featuring local Gippsland products.

Entries close at 5pm on Friday, September 25, 2026, with a maximum of two entries permitted per person.

Photographs must be landscape-oriented and submitted at a minimum file size of 4MB and a maximum of 10MB. Images selected for the calendar must be available at a resolution of at least 300 DPI.

Entrants should provide their name, hometown, contact details, image location and a caption for their photograph.
