Cann River’s public facilities are about to receive a $561,000 facelift thanks to a Federal Government grant secured by local MP Darren Chester (pictured).
The Member for Gippsland said the Mick Baum Skate Park redevelopment would be managed by East Gippsland Shire Council, in consultation with the community.
“The existing unsafe and rusting facility will be replaced with a new and challenging skate park to be designed in consultation with local young people,” Mr Chester said.
“The physical and mental health of young people were both impacted by the Black Summer bushfires and this grant is intended to boost community morale and provide opportunities for families to gather and enjoy an active lifestyle.”
