Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester inspected the completed stage one works on the Snowy River railway trestle bridge.
Additional funding is required to complete the middle section of the project, and Mr Chester said he would continue to lobby all levels of government to support the project.
“It’s been a huge effort by the community to get the restoration project this far, and now we need to finish the job,” Mr Chester said.
“The two completed sections at each end of the trestle bridge offer spectacular views of the Snowy River flats and will encourage visitors to stop and explore the region.”
