Peter Ryan has been a passionate advocate for Gippsland and all regional Victorians throughout his parliamentary career.
I had the pleasure of working with Peter, as his Chief of Staff, for four years, and he constantly impressed me with his energy, enthusiasm and determination to deliver the best possible outcome for people who choose to live outside Melbourne.
The example he set inspired me to nominate for the federal seat of Gippsland.
In my role as Federal MP, we have worked in partnership to deliver improvements to the Gippsland road network, along with health and education services.
We are indebted to Peter and his family for the commitment he has shown to public service for more than 20 years. I wish him well in his retirement.
