Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester says the Coalition Government has delivered on key election commitment by restoring the Australian Building and Construction Commission.
The ABCC legislation passed the Senate today, which will help to restore law and order on construction sites.
“Today’s passage of legislation shows The Nationals in Government are getting on with the job of delivering our election commitments,” Mr Chester said.
“It has been a successful first four months for the Turnbull-Joyce Government, and we remain committed to fulfilling the remainder of our promises.
“The Coalition received a mandate at the July election to restore the ABCC and today we are delivering on what we said we would do.
“This is a win for Australian taxpayers, as it will help to reduce the cost of building the infrastructure our community needs.”
