Surf life savers at Woodside Beach will next summer have new hats to protect them from the sun’s harsh rays.
The Nationals Member for Gippsland Darren Chester this week presented a box of hats he has donated to the Woodside Beach Surf Life Saving Club to club representative Brydie Hurrell.
“Our surf life savers do a great job patrolling our beaches and looking out for the safety of swimmers and other beach goers,” Mr Chester said.
Mr Chester said it was important to acknowledge and support the important work of volunteer organisations in building stronger communities.
“Those who support the work of Woodside Beach Surf Life Saving Club give their energy, expertise and time to support our community. They embody what Australian communities are all about: helping one another,” Mr Chester said.
