THE NATIONALS HEADED TO THE EAST GIPPSLAND FIELD DAYS

April 18, 2013

Local residents heading to the East Gippsland Field Days tomorrow will be able to catch up with their local Parliamentary representatives Darren Chester, Bridget McKenzie and Tim Bull.

All three will be in attendance at The Nationals tent (I-13) at the popular event which attracts many people with its broad range of machinery, livestock, local produce and craft stalls.

Gippsland MP Darren Chester says he expects a broad range of issues to be raised with the looming Federal election on September 14.

“Local residents are always keen to have their say on current issues or provide their ideas for the future,” Mr Chester said.

“Both Bridget and I are keen to take their views to The Nationals party room as we finalise our policies ahead of the election.”

Senator McKenzie said the field days, which are in their 27th year, are a fantastic event for the East Gippsland community.

“I really enjoy coming to the field days with its wide range of stalls and activities for all ages and interests,” Senator McKenzie said.

“I’m keen to discuss local issues and am looking forward to continuing to work alongside Darren in the lead up to the Federal election.”

Gippsland East MP Tim Bull said he would be on hand to assist local residents with State Government matters.

“Obviously there is a lot of focus on the upcoming Federal election but there are a number of State Government programs currently underway in our region,” Mr Bull said.

“The field days will be a good opportunity to discuss these as well as any other State matters that local residents may wish to raise.”
