Works are continuing along Tarwin Street and Commercial Road as part of the Morwell Revitalisation project.
Local MP Darren Chester said there had been extensive work along Commercial Road and Tarwin Street over the past few months to create a more pedestrian-friendly central business area.
“The new gathering space on Tarwin Street is taking shape with the installation of the shade structure, ‘Hub of the Valley’ feature paving and café seating,” Mr Chester said.
“The completion of another two parklets gives pedestrians additional places to sit and greenery to enjoy.
“Once completed, locals will be able to enjoy a space to gather, host local markets, live music events and more.”
The Federal Government committed $1.75 million as part of the Regional Jobs and Investment Packages program. Latrobe City is managing the project.
