“There’s been great crowds in Mallacoota over the holiday period and the patrolled beach makes a huge difference for locals and visitors,” Mr Chester said.
“Both the volunteer and paid lifeguards do an incredible job every summer. Swimming between the flags on a patrolled beach is the safest way to cool off.”
