‘Four Seasons’ 2019 GIPPSLAND CALENDAR COMPETITION

Amateur photographers can help promote the #lovegippsland message by submitting photographs showcasing our region’s natural beauty for Darren’s Chester’s annual calendar.

The Nationals Member for Gippsland Darren Chester has today launched this year’s calendar competition, with a theme ‘Four Seasons’.

Locals are being encouraged to submit photos showcasing Gippsland locations that could be destinations for tourists and day-trippers.

The 13 best entries will be included in Mr Chester’s annual #lovegippsland calendar. More than 20,000 copies of the calendar to be distributed free of charge to showcase the region.

Some of the winning photographs will also be submitted to media publications to promote Gippsland and help bring more visitors to the region.

“Our region is blessed with many natural and man-made attractions and there are many sources of inspiration for entrants,” Mr Chester said.

“The calendar will showcase iconic locations and the amazing natural views that many locals take for granted.

“The calendar seeks to bring more visitors to Gippsland to support local business; but it’s also a timely reminder for locals about the amazing opportunities that exist right here in our backyard.

“I encourage local residents to day-trip and take weekend breaks within the Gippsland region and to support local businesses and small communities.

“Remember every time you spend money in Gippsland you are helping to create more jobs for young people into the future.”

Mr Chester urged Gippslanders to use the upcoming September school holiday break to explore Gippsland while capturing their favourite scenes for calendar entry.  Locals are also encouraged to upload their photos to social media using the hashtag #lovegippsland.

To enter the lovegippsland calendar competition, upload your photo on the left with a minimum size of 2MB and a Maximum of 10MB. Winners will be required to supply a high-resolution version for the calendar.
