Gippsland MP Darren Chester caught up with Melbourne Vixens rising star Lara Dunkley at the Worksafe Game of the Month in Morwell on Saturday night.
The 24-year-old former Yarram resident and Sale FNC player was one of the guest speakers at the pre-match event which promoted farm safety and mental wellbeing.
“Lara is a great role model for young people in regional areas,” Mr Chester said.
“She has shown determination, resilience and a capacity for hard work to achieve her best in everything she does.
“It was terrific to listen to Lara talk about her netball journey and all Gippslanders wish her every success in the future.”
