Member for Gippsland and Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Darren Chester met with two students participating in a national conference where young people get a chance to debate global issues.

Jordan van Rhyn and Hayden Radford together with Rotary District 9820 Chair John Caruana, of Traralgon, were at Parliament House as part of their trip to Canberra for the Model United Nationals Assembly (MUNA) from August 18-20.

Both students participated in debates about resolutions according to the views of the UN member country they were representing.

Both Jordan and Hayden are students at Nossal High School in Berwick, however Hayden was raised in the Latrobe Valley, having lived in Morwell and Traralgon.

Mr Caruana is also well known to locals as a Rotary Club of Traralgon member.

The Gippsland delegation watched Parliamentary Question Time and took the opportunity to quiz Mr Chester on local infrastructure investment.
